What are some ways to straighten your hair?

I know of alot of things out there to straighten your hair but they dont work for me straightening shampoos, hair straighteners, they all failed and the worst part is my hair isnt even curly its just wavy. I hate gettting hair cuts because it makes my hair even wavier. I just want a few different ideas about straightening hair.

You should try a flat iron that you purchase at a salon supply store. If you've tried regular straighteners and they don't work it might simply be because they are not powerful enough. Salon strength gets much hotter and works much faster. A combination of that with a straightening shampoo might be all it takes. It works for me, and I have wavy hair that is difficult to flatten out. Good luck!

You could use a straightener or a curling iron- you can find them at any chain store (Target, ShopKo, Wal-Mart, K-Mart) for a relatively cheap price. When you use a curling iron, be sure that it is very hot. Good luck!!

I had relatively long hair at the time, but honestly,

i just used a regular old clothes iron.

i split my hair into sections, and did a layer at a time, leaning my head against the board. it worked, and probably took less time than a hair iron, because it's bigger. also, it is basically made out of the same metal

I use a straightener or you could talk to your stylist, but i am in the situation as u. my hair is partially wavy and partially curly. or you can take a shower in the morning then use gel or hairspray to style it while oyur hair is wet.

Well what I do is, take a shower, then right after blow dry my hair. Then straighten it. My hair is very wavy, but that seems to work just fine for me.

My grandfather who is a barber, suggested some type of chemical that will permanently straighten it. Though I dont remember what it was called...

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, but it does work (atleast temporary until you wash it out):

Buy a perm solution from your local drug store, and instead of curling (like normal), keep brushing straight for the length of time that it says on the box to keep solution in hair. Rinse, and enjoy..you will have straight hair..just not very long!

I have very curly hair, and I do have a professional flattening iron that works (because it gets very hot fast and stays that way!), however the only true way to make sure your hair stays straight for the period of time you want, is to go to your local stylist..and have it professionally straightened (which is kinda expensive , but also worth it!).

I've heard that a clothing iron works and probably the best flat iron is a Chi they are expensive but worth it. Sally's Beauty Supply should sell them

What are some ways to straighten your hair?

Well, my mom does this thing where she wraps my hair around my head. But this is only if your willing to do it overnight. You need bobby pins, a comb, and a scarf. First, you should let your hair dry a little. Then, part it down the middle. Then take the right or left side (it doesn't really matter) and comb it to the side of your hide and hold it down with a bobby pin. Repeat this step until your hair is completely wrapped around your head and you are sure that it is held down tightly. Then, tie the scarf around your head. The scarf keeps the hair in place as much as possible while you are sleeping and it also makes your hair shiny. In the morning, pat your hair to make sure it's dry. If it is dry, take the bobby pins out and comb your hair out. This worked every time my mom did it! But you have to be sure you do this 6-7 hours earlier than when you need your hair straight.
