Any ideas for frizzy hair??

Ok here's the deal. Im usually very low maintance. Shampoo, Conditioner thats it. Recently i moved to a VERY humid place and my usually straight hair's gone like POOF. I MEANN PPOOOOOF. Especially with my short layers, its not even funny. Ive been searching pharmacys and nothing. Making it straight again is my newest obsesion. Any ideas? Thanx my ppls.

Don't wash you hair every day. Once every two or three days is fine. Buy a good straightener. I use to have a chi (google it) but now I use a straightener I bought from wal-mart...it cost me fifty dollars, and it's absolutely amazing. I use herbal essence dangerously straight (pin straight)shampoo and conditioner and sunsilk anti-poof (it's a creme you use after your hair is washed). Stay away from the blow dryer, let you hair air dry. Most importantly, keep your hands away from your hair! Touching you hair every ten seconds to check if its frizzy makes it even more frizzy.

I suddenly have this problem too and i hate it.

I am using a straightening shampoo and a straightening conditioner.

I also use a leave-on anti frizz conditioner.. and a hair spray that is anti frizz. this regime seems to help.

my hair stylist told me that if you rinse your hair with cold water it will close the cuticles in the hair and they will not be frizzy!

My hair is EXACLTY like yours. It always poofs after I come out of the shower. ANyways, I used head and shoulders and it made my hair less poofy. Also, try not brushing your hair ater you come out of the shower.. that might help. You could also use moose on your hair or grow your hair long.. it gets rid of the frizz/

Put hair gel in it, enough to do some good but don't go over board. And then spray your roots with an aerosol hairspray, just go front to back in one motion... It should keep away the fly aways, as for the frizziness get frizz-ease straightening stuff and apply it to your hair before and after straightening it...

Also straighten is after it's dry... don't blow dry it and then straighten it. If you have to sleep on wet hair and in the morning straighten it... Itll look better... trust me.

I too have very frizzy hair... I use sun-silk anti frizz creme this usually keeps the frizz down i would also suggest buying a straightener

get a really good straightener like the chi. its a little costly but it works so great. you'll be amazed. you also need a flat iron spray to protect your hair from the heat. i recommend tigi's flat iron and shine spray. it makes your hair super soft and shiny and controls the frizz. the chi flat iron seals the cuticle and you smooth down the hair to add shine. when the cuticle is closed, its harder for the humidity to get in. in the meatime,...while your in the process of getting your flat iron, try shampooing and conditioning your hair with cold water because cold water closes the cuticle as well. remember hot water opens the cuticle, and cold water closes them. hope this helps. and pls do not relax your hair because its frizzy! you will kill it!

There is a product by "I. S. O." called "Bouncy Cream". Not sold in stores only available through a salon. It is light enough not to weight the hair down but will control frizz.

Call the salons in your area and find out who carries "I. S. O.
