you can get a nice cut or just change your style if a cut is too drastic. My cousin kept her hair braided in public for six years until it grew to the length she wanted. Then she cut it and wore it down only for special occassions-i like this idea especially for seniors because it makes your hair look great in your last year.

my god daughter wore her hair braided for grades 9-11 to school and every school event; only unbraiding on weekends where she had no public appearances, lol. In her senior year she had her hair (styled) cut and colored-she was a hit for the year. she almost won best hair for her class but it went to a young lady with naturally wavy and short hair-her hair was gorgeous too

remember to go with your hair type, if its naturally curl pick a style that is curly. If your hair is straight, a sleek style will be perfect. With starting high school you will have so many other things to do and worry about, so yoou dont want to spend all your time on your hair.

Always keep it simple but classy and sophisticated, you don't want to go to school with an out of this world hair style. When I was in high school it was always a fashion show, crazy hairstlye and everyone would have the same hairstyle. My bestfriend and I liked to be different and do our own thing but still be classy, so try new things also but what you like not others, you're dressing for yourself not them . Sophisticated,classy but simple styles will make people respect you for who you are not what what you look like and the teachers will think more of you than just a fashion icon.
