My hair is a very deep brown and it's gradually turning black. It's about time to head back to the salon to get it highlighted, any ideas? I like the idea of dark hair for the winter, but I'm pretty pale and I'd rather not look dead.

it depends... you could get some bright red highlights or you could get a mix of orange/red and blonde highlights... both kind of stand out and would look good on brown or black hair

go with burgendy and then get a special shampoo for red heads it'll wash out the purple glow and it'll look really good with your complexion

I have that same problem I use copper high lights. They look really nice in dark dark hair. I got a lot of comments when I first put my highlights in. But your getting them done at the salon so just pick a copper color and i can assure you that your hair will look great and u will get a lot of comments.

if dark hair is you thing, i would suggest maybe a chesnut and hazel highlights. that'll really look great!
