When I - or people I know - are looking for a new "do", we go through magazines and find pictures we can take with us to the hairdresser. Public library and magazine racks are good places for magazines. Copy/buy the pictures/issues you want.

If she doesnt have time to bust out the curling iron, mousse, etc, then suggest something very simple. My friend got a short (falls on neck) hair do, she just kind takes spray gel while its wet and flips it around with her fingers (almost spikey) and walks out the door. Cute.
