Awesome hair colouring ideas - scene?

I don't want anything that's going to make my mother kick me out of the house, here, but I want to do something a little bit different with my hair colour. I basically get it done a reallly dark brown (it looks black but without the bottle effect). I want something else in it as well. Maybe one little bit with stripes? Can a hairdresser do that? Please, any ideas, I'd be so greatful

next time ur hair fades and needs re-doing, ask for half a head of thin cream blond foils. just thin small streaks on ur dark hair will soften and modernise the look. but the first time u do it ur hair wont be the best blond, coz they have to bleach it from the dark colour, get them to put a toner thru it, and but a shampoo or conditioner with a purple colour to it, ask ur hairdresser for a shampoo or conditioner with a toner in it (they are purple in colour) this will help to keep the streaks from going orange or yuck, will brighten them up, and keep ur hair smooth.

if ur hair is straight, get it layered around ur face, the streaks will look great. if ur hair is quite curly, grow it all one length and get a WHOLE head of the foils instead of half, then u will have little bits of blond twirling thru ur dark curls. really nice.

You could get some purple streaks put in,maybe some underneath so that they show through when your hair is tied up.

'halo' hilites.

this is parting the hair from temple to temple around the crown area and hiliting from 1/2 inch inside the hairline all the way around to the other side 1/2 inch from the hairline. you could have it done with hilites mix or the stylist could lighten it with hilite mix then tone it with pink or purple or red or something else 'different' for an effect.

it only gets seen when you turn your head really fast or put it up TO see it.
